Compliance Monitoring Officer | General Insurance | Personal Lines
Compliance Monitoring Officer required for market leading GI based in Manchester, this role will join an established 2nd line team and will report into the Compliance Monitoring Manager.
The role purpose is as follows: To provide expert and pragmatic monitoring activity to support the business in mitigating or eliminating risks and enabling CISGIL to confidently meet its objectives and regulatory expectations whilst ensuring our customers outcomes are fair and appropriate. The role holder is expected to influence peers and colleagues on 2nd line of defence issues, including Conduct, AML, Financial Crime issues, to ensure the business remains within defined risk appetite and policy.
Experience required:
Experienced Compliance Monitoring Officer
GI experience (ideally personal lines)
Subject matter expert for regulatory requirements applicable to the financial sector;
Knowledge and experience of monitoring Regulatory Risk policies;
In depth understanding of the regulatory environment in the UK financial services sector;
In depth, up to date knowledge of internal and external Conduct Risk developments and practices;
In depth knowledge of UK financial services industry, competitor activity, market developments and emerging market trends;
Understanding and knowledge of Conduct Risk/TCF; and
Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills, able to present effectively at meetings with senior managers and executive directors.
Our client are looking to hold interviews next week and ideally want someone onsite before the 22nd of Sept, there is a permanent member of staffing leaving and this will allow a brief handover.
