ICO/Project/Fixed Asset Accounting Banking,Brussels
Major financial services company is looking for an ICO project accounting contractor to be be involved in the:
- Supervision of Project Accounting processing aiming to ensure accuracy of the accounting figures
- Supervision of Chargeback accounting processing aiming to ensure accuracy of the accounting figures
- Supervision of intercompany reconciliation processes
- Optimise our approach and methodology towards the various recharge processes and the tools used
- Create synergy and ease processes around Project Accounting, Chargeback and intercompany reconciliation
- Supervise, manage and develop your team members
The candidate will interact frequently with various divisions (including Finance) to further develop his/her understanding of the business and share the results of his/her work, highlighting the identified source of improvements and the key drivers behind them.
The candidate will follow up the business changes in this domain and take into account internal and external stakeholder's expectations.
He/she will be the accountable Manager for the Recharge Processing. For this, he/she develops a good understanding of the business issues in relation with Project Accounting and Chargeback processes aiming to anticipate and proactively take actions to mitigate potential accounting issues.
As Group Interco Manager, the candidate will coordinate and supervise the following:
- the monthly intercompany reconciliation process
- the identification of intercompany differences
- the output follow-up, control and related reconciliations/investigations
- the output reporting and related commentaries
- the recharge agreements set-up and follow up
- the Project Accounting monthly closing process
- the alignment of Project Accounting vs Chargeback
- Monthly review of expenditures on Projects and creation of Project Assets
- the management and follow-up of the various requests aiming at improving the underlying processes
- Ensuring review of the accounts (GLO) and internal controls documentation (FICA) on assigned items
- the documentation of policies and procedures
Candidate must have:
- Excellent understanding of theoretical/practical aspects of accounting
- Excellent analytical skills and well organised
- Strong conceptual skills, problem solving capacity and ability to think quickly and innovatively and be hands-on when required
- Proficient user of the MS Office suite, especially Excel
- Good knowledge of English. French and/or Dutch is a plus
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in working with an integrated ERP system, preferably Oracle is an asset
- Adaptable and able to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Good knowledge of IFRS/IAS will be an asset
