Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a VTC Engineer. This position is located in Mons working for NATO.

We are searching for a candidate with the following profile:

  • NATO Secret or National Equivalent Clearance (or be eligible to get one)
  • University degree in ICT System Engineering or equivalent secondary education supplemented by substantial professional experience within the Collaboration Services Domain
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • 3 or more years of proven experience in developing and maintaining top quality training for NATO Services in the SME Area
  • Proven experience working with systems used in the SME Area (eg VTC equipment for unclassified and classified networks, Servers supporting these services (eg. Polycom VTC, Cisco Unified Communication Manager, CUCM)
  • Proven experience working with SMC tools supporting NATO DCIS Collaboration Services (CA Spectrum Service Management Suite)
  • Proven experience in NATO or National Deployable or Deployed CIS Training Environments
  • Solid understanding of Collaboration Services and Network Architectures, and technologies (access, distribution, and core layers)
  • Solid understanding of the NATO DCIS Target Architecture as it applies to the SME Area
  • Experience with NATO Service Management and Control Tools
  • Excellent knowledge of complex voice and video protocols employed in NATO DCIS
  • In-Depth knowledge of NATO DCIS Concepts, to include the current NRF DCIS and other deployable assets
  • Knowledge of the NATO Command Structure, with focus on the Deployed entities involved, and the deploying Service Providers (eg NCISG with the SSG and DNOC)
  • Proven flexibility and agility for keeping abreast with developments in the SME Area technologies in industry and NATO
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and skills for complex technology to both military and civilian personnel

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience on specific NATO implementations and systems in the SME Area
  • Prior experience of working in a similar environment
  • Cisco Certifications: CCNP Voice/Collaboration or higher - or similar education and experience gained with other institutions
  • Related field experience in operation, administration and maintenance of military collaboration systems
  • In-Depth knowledge of NATO DCIS Concepts, to include the current NRF DCIS and other deployable assets (eg LINC-E, Mini-PoP)
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
