Field Engineer - Second Level Support - PC - LAN - Microsoft Office - Hardware/Software
Urgent Requirement: A global telecommunications company based in Dublin for a PC Field Engineer. Initial 4 month contract with the view to extend Euro a day!
My client is looking for a self-motivated and energetic individual with strong customer skills to Provide 2nd level support for internal customers in Dublin and other sites in Europe. The successful candidate must take ownership of their own work load and use their own initiative to solve problems and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITES:
*Fault diagnosis/fix on PC systems and peripherals
*Upgrading of PC hardware and peripherals
*Changes to PC or peripherals Hardware/Software
*Carry out installations of hardware add-ons to PC systems and peripherals
*Carry out software configuration on operating systems and applications
*Ensuring compliance with organisation policies, procedures and work instructions
*Carry out support for Networks and Data Centre as directed by professional teams
*Carry out fault diagnosis/fix of the data and voice network, cabling infrastructure and telephony systems, for which assistance will be given
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
*2 years of Second level support for a large size company
*Knowledge of supporting Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008) and Microsoft Office Suite
*Strong hardware knowledge of PCs, laptops, and peripherals
*Troubleshooting LAN related issues
Desirable
*MCSE, MCP, CCNA, ITIL certifications
*Experience in using one of the following applications: Clarity, Remedy, SNOW or similar
*Experience in mobile applications support
*Experience in IP telephony support
*MAC OS and Apple hardware support
