Facilities Project Engineer - Project Management, Construction, Plant, Equipment and Estates

A Facilities Project Engineer with Project Management, Construction, Plant, Equipment and Estates experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.

This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.

Overview of the Facilities Project Engineer contract role

To strengthen the Investment & Infrastructure Services business, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the existing Investment Projects team across Warton Unit, as a Facilities Project Engineer.

Reporting to the Delivery Manager the individual would be responsible for the management, definition, selection and implementation of a wide range of facilities and estates projects including; key infrastructure, utilities, building refurbishments, accommodation upgrades, manufacturing plant & equipment and site rationalisation work.

Key skills required for the Facilities Project Engineer

  • Given the Project Management aspects of the role applicants should have proven Project Management, Facilities, Construction, Plant and Equipment and Estates experience.
  • The experience should be demonstrated over a minimum of three years.
  • Good supplier management and communication skills are essential with sound and demonstrable awareness of Construction and/or Plant & Equipment Health & Safety management.
  • Ideally a background in facilities, building services, or construction is required, however other disciplines will be considered.
  • Ideally the applicant should hold a HNC/HND qualification in a relevant engineering, facilities or construction related discipline.

The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
