Qualified Financial Accountant- Annual reports Data -12 months
An opportunity for a Qualified Financial Accountant to work for a public sector organisation in Aberdeen.
The post holder will be required, with the support of the Head of Corporate Services to:
- Manage the Finance Accounting team, ensuring that objectives are set, tasks are prioritised and capabilities within the team continue to be developed.
- Prepare the financial statements within the Organisations Annual Report and Accounts, with particular responsibility for the identification of accruals and prepayments, management of and accounting for fixed assets, management of debtors and answering audit questions
- Manage the Accounts Payable & Receivable functions within the Organisation (including debt management), ensuring payments to the organisation suppliers and the invoicing service to customers are completed whilst ensuring the appropriate controls and reconciliations are in place.
Mandatory Qualifications/licences and Membership of professional bodies
- CCAB or equivalent, qualified accountant with suitable practical experience
- Experience in production of financial statements that form part of the annual report and accounts.
- Excellent data handling and manipulation skills.
- Experience of financial change management within a business or customer service environment.
- Good understanding of the workings of Scottish Public Sector in in relation to finance
