Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 7 Enterprise and Microsoft Office 2010 and any other authorised desktop applications on new and in use hardware.
- Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on desktops, laptops, printers and any other authorised peripheral equipment.
- Performs remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers and scanners and any other authorised peripheral equipment.
- Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards.
- Performs work in compliance within specified warranty requirements.
- Safely package equipment for hubs and arrange for the transport of the equipment.
- Responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting and restoring to service any desktop, laptop or server that has authorized access to the network.
- Develop trends by monitoring and analysing incoming calls, problems and support requests.
- Access Management and User account administration, ie, account creation and management via AD for users in the Dublin office and hubs throughout the world.
- Provides support and assistance to the Project Managers as needed.
- Responsible for tracking hardware and software via asset management software.
- Perform weekly backups of all windows Servers.
- Occasional after hours and weekend work will be required as necessary to perform maintenance work.
- Rollouts of propriety software.
Essential Qualifications, Training and Experience:
- Minimum two years' experience in desktop support ideally in a financial environment.
- Excellent technical knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware.
- Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems and standards.
- Windows 7, Windows 2008 experience
- Microsoft Office 2010 support
- Exchange
- WSUS or equivalent
