Corporate Governance Manager/Contract/6 months/£300 (negotiable)/Manchester
I am recruiting a 6 month contract for a Corporate Governance Manager based in Manchester. The organisation are looking for a decisive, fast thinking professional that can add value to the current policies and procedures adopted, as well as developing and challenging the frameworks in place.
The role has a focus on:
- Assisting the development, implementation, maintenance and operation of the organisation's corporate governance framework and all relevant policies and procedures.
- Experience of developing effective policies and regulations to support governance processes and enhancement
- Working in conjunction with the Corporate Governance Officers, ensure the scheduling, quality and timeliness of reports and contributions to be made to the meetings.
- Ensure that business and reports that are presented reflect the organisation's strategic priorities, that they are co-ordinated and consistent across different meetings and various audiences, and that they are concise, specific and focused on key issues.
- Development of modern technology enabled and efficient processes.
- Engaging/liaising with stakeholders - managing complex relationships
- Develop institutional policy and regulations to ensure the effective discharge of the organisation's compliance and governance responsibilities.
- Maintain and develop the Committee handbook and act as point of contact advice on institutional Committee servicing standards and expectations, including the provision of regular training and ad-hoc advice.
