Overview
My client, a large utilities business in Nottingham is looking for a Finance Business Partner to support their Smart Metering project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and reporting processes - consolidate Smart impacts from segments, providing robust challenge and commentary for line manager to articulate in Senior Executive meetings
- Support the development of operational/financial KPIs and driving accountability within the business to ensure assumptions are owned and delivered
- Provide finance support into meter procurement processes, minimising contractual risk and modelling VFM scenarios
- Support the Smart deployment teams to shape and understand the effect of alternative deployment strategies on the Smart business case, as well as identifying opportunities to drive cost efficiencies.
Essential skill requirements
- Strong commercial acumen who takes a proactive approach in identifying risks and opportunities
- Ability to lead planning and reporting processes to timely and robust delivery
- Excellent Excel skills who can develop/enhance models to support strategic and operational decision making
- Contract management skills who has prior experience of supporting negotiations, reviewing schedules to manage risks and influencing key stakeholders to ensure VFM
- Attention to detail in preparing business plans, analyses and insight with strong customer focus in presenting complex issues with simplicity
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proven ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your workloads in a fast-paced environment.
