Position Title: Site Reliability Consultant

Responsibilities:
- Build test frameworks capable of running hundreds of tests across thousands of hosts. Design, write and deliver software or tools to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of distributed services.
- Build a test output analysis engine to find the outlier events that impact large-scale systems, set the direction for test automation, test methodologies, and quality requirements.
- Join a scrum team of fellow engineers following DevOps philosophies for solve problems relating to mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
- Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning, do thorough root cause analysis of critical problems to make sure they never happen again.
- Work with PMs and developers to translate their requirements into testable deliverables.
- Support the solution design, bidding, technical risk assessment and review for the major ITO projects, provide the technical solution consultant and resolution suggestion for the ongoing ITO projects.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Major in computer or related, at least 7 years of IT experience, above 5 years of development or system management experience on the complicated and large scale of IT systems.
- Profiles in IT infrastructure and major technical domains(Network, Server Operating system, Storage and backup, Database, Middleware and applications, Virtualization and Cloud .etc) and products.
- Master of Linux administration, familiar with VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Xen .etc. virtualization, or Power- based virtualization technology. Skilled in the Cloud management platform(Openstack, AWS .etc) architecture, resource management, high availability .etc.
- Understanding of web services technologies such as HTTP and REST APIs, experience in one or more of: C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, Go, or scripting experience in Shell and Perl.
- Strong understanding of system and application performance characteristics.
- Excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills.
- English (Chinese preferred).
