My client is looking for an excellent candidate to be responsible for the efficient processing of payments and receipt of funds. Is seen as the subject matter expert for all banking payments related matters.
This role is an excellent opportunity for both a current contractor looking for their next, exciting role, or for someone looking to break into the contract market.
The following skills and experience are required:
- Ensuring all payments are checked and released within the Bank's sanctions regime.
- Ensuring all payments actioned on value, FX and funds are correctly applied.
- Ensuring required levels of accuracy and timeliness are maintained within the team. Ensuring the quality of data within the team is maintained to the highest level.
- At all times be cognisant that they are the "gatekeeper" for all payment related traffic through the Bank. As such, ensure risk management and attention to detail is paramount in all aspects of their work.
- Ensuring that they fully understand and are applying the processes & procedures within their team. Responsible for ensuring that these processes & procedures are known by and followed by all staff within their teams. Any breaches or deviations from processes & procedures are immediately escalated to the appropriate person.
- Monitoring and controlling business volume.
- Supervising staff, prioritising work and defining deadlines to ensure the payments function maintains the high level of accuracy and timeliness providing customers with an excellent service quality.
- Acts at the appropriate level of signing authority to ensure all outputs are checked and meet the Bank's required standards of quality, accuracy and timeliness whilst protecting the Bank's position at all times.
- Identifies, recommends and implements improvement methods to the Bank's systems and processes.
- Promoting and maintaining good relationships with customers as well as providing guidance and assistance as and when required.
