Description
Great 3 month rolling contract position open for a System Integration Engineer with knowledge of Solaris 10/11 Installation, Solaris 10/11 Administration and Knowledge of basic networking concepts (DNS, SMTP, NTP, VLAN, FW,VPN & SSL) to come onboard and join a well recognised multi national Telecommunications company based in either Denhaag, Voorburg and Aalsmeer, Netherlands. This will be a 3 month rolling contract - competitive rates on offer
Key skills:
- 5 + years' experience within the following technical skills and expertise;
- Solaris 10/11 Installation
- Solaris 10/11 Administration
- ZFS
- OVM for SPARC and T-series Servers
- SPARC and x86 Servers
- Shell Scripting - performance monitoring and troubleshooting skills.
- Good awareness of Database administration skills ( Oracle and Sybase )
- SAN Knowledge, FC Switches and Zoning, Multipath and Volume Mgrs (VxVM, etc)
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (DNS, SMTP, NTP, VLAN, FW,VPN & SSL)
Responsibilities:
- Perform Solaris 10/11 installation, patching and upgrade
- Perform Zpools and ZFS filesystems configuration
- Perform Zpools administration
- Perform OVM for SPARC installation
- OVM for SPARC administration (LDOMs creation, live migration, mgmt)
- Manage tickets with MOS
- Apply technical skills to support the migration of Solaris technology stack during project delivery.
