Our client, a global leading ICT company are recruiting for a to join their business in Ireland.

Position Title: Container Platform Architect
Position Type: 6 months initial contract (may lead to Permanent)
Start Date: February 2017

Responsibilities:
- To design Docker container based infrastructure in a federated cluster environment. The federation covers one or more Edge computing cluster deployed close to base station and Private/Public Data center.
- To automate deployment of container based application/service, where application/service is specified with one or more container image and placement requirement (for example Edge location or proximity).
- Responsible to provide application/service lifecycle management (start, stop, restart, scaling up/down) in federated cluster environment.
- Responsible to provide configuration of application/service solution, where configuration can be supplied as input.
- Responsible to provide monitoring solution of containers in a federated cluster. Such monitoring solution will collect metrics and related information so that application/service execution can be observed and further analyzed.
- Responsible to provide automatic registration of an Edge computing cluster, so that an application can be deployed to follow deployment requirements (for example, location) more accurately.
- Responsible to assist application/service developer to create Docker image(s).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor in computer science, significant industry experience in Software Platform design.
- 5+ years of industry experience, with at least 3+ years working in Software Frameworks/Platforms.
- Proven record in designing and deploying Docker containers in practice.
- Proven record in developing and implementing Container Cluster solutions
- Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes Service YAML descriptions.
- Driven: Being capable of working independently.
- Strong communication skills, exhibits excellent judgment, strong results orientation, paying attention to details and producing high quality.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
