The Job: Senior Engineer - Test Automation, Payments team
Project planning and tracking - Prepares detailed work schedule for a work packet by carefully analysing the effort and dependencies. Participates in client meetings jointly with the team when required.
Test Plan Design - Develops test plans for medium modules, reviews and provides feedback for simple module test plan. Identifies risks and mitigation plan, seeks reviews from the leads.
Test Environment setup - Receives setup instructions on infrastructure, data and software, plans and completes set up, prepares script to create test data and populates test data to have the environment ready for testing.
Perform Proof of Concept on the identified tools and contribute to the Tool Fitment analysis report
Test Case Preparation - Writes complex functional/non-functional/regression test cases and prepares RTM for the same, provides review/feedback for test cases prepared by peers. Implements mitigation plan identified for the risks.
Test Script Preparation - Designs and develops medium and complex test scripts (automation, performance, any other specialized testing) using specialized testing tool(s). Validates and seeks reviews from leads, conducts peer reviews, provides reviews/comments to test scripts prepared by TE.
Metrics Management - Provides relevant data on metrics for modules he/she is part of.
Test Execution - Reviews results of test cases executed, participates in the defect triages, and participates in test execution of key modules to identify defects. Handles entire defect workflow for the defects identified in the module he/she is handling.
