The Role
ACS Designer
Role Description
A service provider has two AAA platforms to manage granular administrative access to their network estate. They require both AAA platforms to be upgraded and replaced with a new system. This role will be to design and implement this.
Main Responsibilities
- The successful migration of two Cisco ACS V4 systems to ACS V5.x.
- Produce a HLD and LLD.
- Liaison with the various stakeholders to produce this.
- Working with a test plan, to pre-test this migration in a test environment.
- Produce Operational documentation for the new system.
- Liaison with the Operational support groups to enable them to support the new system.
- The build of the new system, and the successful replacement of the existing system, in production (including migration of users, NDGs and policies from version 4).
Technical Skills (Essential)
- Cisco ACS V4 & V5 - Installation, Administrating and Operating.
- AAA/TACACS+ configuration and operation in a Cisco and Juniper environment.
- Experience in migrating from Cisco ACS V4 to V5.x.
- Producing technical documentation and plans.
- Some Scripting manipulation experience would be advantageous.
