Description
Field IT Support Engineer required for my client based in New York City, USA.
You will be providing 1st and 2nd line support in a full Wintel environment to their shops and sites across central New York City focusing on their POS/ePOS systems and hardware (printers, photocopiers etc.)
Pay rate; Up to $14 per hourLength of contract; 4 months
Please note you will have to provide your own accommodation and flights etc
Focus of the role
End to end ownership of all 2nd line support calls logged via the Helpdesk
POS/ePOS systems
Printers/photocopiers and hardware
Ensuring all calls are resolved where applicable or passed to the appropriate person in the wider IT team. Resolve all incidents and queries to agreed SLA's.
Up-skill the shops where appropriate to allow them to troubleshoot issues quickly both with hardware and bespoke software
Resolve all issues on-site if possible at the time of the visit
Continual monitoring of call queues to ensure calls are responded to and SLA's and business requirements are met.
Provide proactive communication to shops and support centre employees on issues/fault progress and resolution.
Accurately assess business impact to ensure effective prioritisation
Review documentation and toolsets to ensure knowledge base is accurate and shared with the whole team
Help to maintain and support the interfaces between the tills and payment software
