Cisco Network Engineer - CCNA - WAN/LAN/WLAN
An urgent requirement has arisen for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer, based in Peterborough on an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, implementation and support.
We are recruiting for 3 engineers, each will be responsible for one of the following:
- The job will involve developing Local Area Network (LAN) designs, building the configurations
- The job will involve developing Wide Area Network (WAN) designs, building the configurations
- The job will involve developing Wireless Area Network (WALN) designs, building the configurations
The job will involve developing WAN, LAN and WLAN designs, building the configurations following company standards and then deploying those designs. Providing ad-hoc remote support for network related incidents as and when required.
Cisco CCNA qualification is required and any CISCO qualification above will be a significant plus.
- IOS upgrade, WLC controller configuration
- Cisco Router and Switch configuration.
- Familiarity with Firewall designs
- Understanding of related technologies (DNS, DHCP etc.)
- Fault finding skills
- Good documentation skills
- Basic Knowledge of a Ticketing software (Remedy/Peregrine).
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Putty, and other Network tools.
Some travel will be expected as part of the role including implementations in other countries within the region, relevant expenses will be covered as required. English is the required language but working with the regional team involves many countries so a second language is an advantage.
