Connect:Direct Technician - Contract - Cheshire
(Connect:Direct, C:D, Connect Direct, AIX, Linux)
Capita's leading Cheshire based client is looking to secure the services of a Connect Direct Middleware Technician for a long term contract opportunity.
The majority of the focus of this role is on the risk remediation of a very large Unix Connect Direct estate, following a 2 phase approach.
- Phase 1 will involve a programme of Connect:Direct upgrades to version 4.2.0.4 and patch deployments. The candidate is expected to troubleshoot any issues encountered in planning and deployment.
- Phase 2 involves working with application teams to understand the impact of deploying a vendor supplied patch, considering changes required to maintain service, testing/supporting application team through testing from a Connect:Direct perspective.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Connect:Direct versions 4.0 to current on AIX (versions 5.3 to current ) and Linux.
- Working in highly change controlled environments; FS ideally
