An experienced Electrical Design Engineer is required to assist with Test equipment to develop modifications, work with the supplier during the modifications and build phase, and test the modified equipment when delivered to the client. The Electrical Design Engineer will demonstrate high and low level design expertise to support the design, development and modification of the test equipment.
Activities include:
- Create statement of requirement documents
- Review documents
- Review the design of the existing Test Equipment
- Design new Test Equipment and produce the necessary supporting documentation
- Develop and test the new elements of the design
- Develop and test modifications to existing Test Equipment
- Support the manufacture of the Test Equipment at suppliers
- Commission and integrate new and modified test equipment
- Support the handover of the test equipment to the project stakeholders
Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in an Electrical Design Engineer or Test Equipment Engineer capacity
- Familiarity and experience of high level design (HLD) and low level design (LLD)
- Any experience within the aerospace sector would be beneficial
