Description
This position is responsible for the testing and evaluation of EnergyWise Home devices and the related information systems and Servers for the EnergyWise Home Program. The incumbent will configure, test and evaluate the EWH devices and the related information environments based on a pre-defined series of test criteria.
The position supports the testing process by executing, and reporting test cases, executing to the testing schedule, recording software defects in defect tracking tool and actively participating in defect resolution, and providing test status reports The incumbent must be capable of: i) configuring an EWH device using vendor provided software, ii) setup and configuration of the device in a test environment to simulate conditions for the test, iii) observing the device under test during the evaluation, iv) analysing the device's condition after the test.
Failed devices will be tracked and returned to the vendor for RMA warranty repairs. The incumbent must be able to work independently without immediate supervision and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
This position also supports the EWH work order management system (IntelliSOURCE), which includes Field Service Requests (FSR's) and device inventory.
Travel will be required for inventory management.
Detail oriented with good communication and writing skills
Possess strong documentation and computer skills including MS Office
Experience in electric utility technical solutions
Demonstrate strong electrical background
2 year degree relative to industry and 3-5 years of job related experience or 7-9 years job related experience without degree
Local candidates preferred. Must be able to work w2 hourly and pass 7 year criminal background check and standard drug screen.
