Description
Modis are currently recruiting on behalf of a pioneering R&D organisation based in Warwickshire for a Senior ADAMS Analyst. The contract will last an initial six months, though with the work load and project length, this position is likely to last two years.
Job Purpose:
Undertake modelling and analysis activities using MSC.ADAMS software to support component and vehicle design and development
Job Tasks:
*Build, and analyse MSC.ADAMS vehicle, subsystem and test rig models
*Undertake and report assessment of vehicle dynamics attributes
*Generate load data to support FE analysis in vehicle design and development programmes
*Support ad-hoc analysis requests in support of design and vehicle dynamics/NVH colleagues
Essential Experience:
*Appropriate experience or formal training in ADAMS software and associated pre- and post-processing tools
*Good familiarity with vehicle dynamics aspects of automotive engineering and with automotive structures at component and vehicle level
*Sound understanding of suspension K&C analysis, including target setting and optimization
Other Experience:
*Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink software and experience of software-in-the-loop/hardware-in-the-loop techniques
*Familiarity with other industry-standard Vehicle Dynamics software such as Simpack, CarMaker, VI-CarRealTime, CarSim.
*Participation in vehicle development programme(s) including test experience
*Experience of design and analysis of heavy goods vehicles
*Experience with active chassis systems
The successful candidate will most likely be working with an Automotive/Aerospace company or analysis consultancy and using MSC.ADAMS and complementary tools and techniques on a day to day basis.
