Our client, a leading global data centre solutions provider, are looking for an experienced IP network engineer to join their network team for a 6 month contract in Amsterdam. The majority of the contract will be based in Amsterdam but will involve frequent travel to Frankfurt and the successful candidate must be fluent in Dutch, German and English.
The company are in the process of implementing a new customer access network within their Data Centre facilities and require the services of an experienced IP network engineer to support the day to day management of the network and implement the migration of customers to this new network.
Experience/Skills required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Minimum 5 years network infrastructure experience required.
Experience with IP migrations
Experience with configuration changes (ACL, routing, switching, certificates, etc.).
Experience creating network asset documentation, diagrams, and other forms of network documentation.
Comfortable and capable of representing the Project with IP Networking peers from the Customer organisations.
Pragmatic and analytical approach to problem solving, with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to travel between UK (London), The Netherlands and Germany.
Must be eligible to work in the stated locations.
