Description
Skills:
- Proven experience on Packet Optical networks (SDH, EthernetoverSDH, OTN and DWDM) and ability to conduct measurements and system testing
- Broad knowledge in switching (L2 switching, spanning tree, VLAN, trunking) and routing (IP, OSI, OSPF, IS-IS, RIP)
- Ability to use packet analyzer tools (Wireshark)
- SO knowledge: Linux, HPUX, Solaris, Windows XX and virtual systems
- OSS System knowledge and protocols: alarm monitoring, service provisioning, performance and inventory management, SNMP, CORBA and MTOSI
- Basic project management skills
- Highly self motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in local country and English language
Qualifications: experience and formal training
- Typically between 3 & 7 years industry Telecommunications/IT experience
- Experience in a technical support or project engineering role, track record in an engineering or related position involved with product development and deployment in an Telecommunications/IT environment.
- CCNA certified or equivalent. Consideration will be given to candidates without formal qualifications who have suitable practical experience.
- Accredited 5 year university degree or equivalent
- Italian Langauge is a must!
