Client: -
A UK telecoms systems integrator requires an Infoblox/Bluecoat Operational Consultant for a six-month contract at a financial institution to start ASAP.
Role: -
To carry out operational and BAU Infoblox/bluecoat work daily (design/configuration). Infoblox Specialist for External and Internal Grid DHCP, DNS, NTP, OSPF, IPAM (DDI). Administration of significant address or name space, eg corporate or enterprise-wide domains in a multi-platform/vendor environment. Consolidation of IP Management systems. BIND builds, testing, implementation and troubleshooting of IP Management toolsets (IPAM) and concepts (esp. Infoblox). Zone maintenance tools and Microsoft DNS and Active Directory. Windows operation system knowledge, DNS/DHCP appliance maintenance. VoIP support and DHCP implementation.
Candidate: -
- Design/configuration experience with Infoblox/bluecoat
- Experience with assisting Infoblox Support and operational teams with problem root-cause analysis at the network (Infoblox) infrastructure level.
- Working with the financial institution, using commercially reasonable means, to facilitate that all the roles and responsibilities
- Thorough understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM and NTP
- Implementation experience of Infoblox solutions would be a definite advantage
- Identify and interpret business requirements in relation to the data presented and current network configuration.
- Document network diagrams and configuration procedures.
- Has good overall knowledge of wide areas of ICT practice and applications with knowledge of the principles
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation, internally and externally and the ability to take part and influence decision making at senior management level.
