Description

(Please note that this contract has been deemed inside the IR35 regulations, which is reflected in the increased day rate to take into account PAYE. Candidates must be happy to use an umbrella company in order to engage with this client.)

Our client in the public sector is looking for an Active Directory Engineer for a short-term Identity and Access Management Project (until end of June).

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Departments Identity and Access Governance technologies including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Federation Services (ADFS), Password Management, Privileged Account Management and Access Recertification.
  • Providing technical support and operation of IAM environments for 1st line, 2nd line and IT Group support management teams
  • Integrating new and existing policies and technical controls for user authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) for enterprise applications
  • Developing all technical requirements for policies, procedures, and standards for provisioning new user accounts and resolving permission-related issues
  • Ensuring IAM services perform according to defined procedures/standards and ensuring SLAs are met
  • Providing oversight and support of all IAM life cycle activities, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and periodic recertification activities and processes
  • Guiding and perform access data clean-up; implement and oversee effective access data maintenance practices and account certification

Skills/Experience

Experience of running customer-facing services in modern IT environment

Good understanding of IT technologies, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Certificates, Microsoft Azure and Office365, Microsoft based Operating Systems and applications such as:

  • Windows Server R2
  • Exchange
  • Windows 10
  • Office 2016

Microsoft Accreditation, MCP Active Directory

Excellent knowledge and established experience with managing Active Directory object security and control

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels (both written and orally).

Ability to prioritise multiple projects and work under pressure

Able to use own initiative.

SC clearance.

Practical and current knowledge of the cyber security threat landscape.

Knowledge of Central Government and Open Government Data systems, as well as HM Government security regulations.

Duration: until end June 2017

Location: Manchester (+ some travel to other client sites)

Rate: £450 per day
