CS2K Voice Technical Engineer - Contract - London (Waterloo Area) - 3 months + Rolling

Client: -

A global systems integrator requires Voice Technical Engineer to be based in London (Waterloo Area) for 3 months + Extensions, to start ASAP for a customer migration/Legacy decommissioning project

Role: -

  • Primarily responsible to work in a significantly independent way to provide customer and network build relating to customer, numbering, routing, charging, signalling and hardware configuration for Voice and IP customers on C20/CS2k/TDM platforms and architecture.
  • Provide support to colleagues and line management operating to a good level of standards and operating procedures. Act as mentor to less experienced engineers within the team.
  • Provide during UK office hours technical and process support for associated fault resolution capabilities within the 24 Hour x 365 Day Assure Operations Organisation.
  • Having direct responsibilities for the performance and integrity of all products and services managed by the team, meeting specific internal and customer defined SLA targets. This role requires flexibility to allow for Assure On Call and Provide build activities Out of Hours.

Candidate: -

  • Experience with Nortel DMS100, NOKIA & CS2K routing data structure
  • Good technical knowledge of the Genband CS2k & C20, DMS, System X and NOKIA platforms exposure both in hardware and data fill
  • Must have a background in digital voice switching systems, ideally with knowledge of System X
  • Knowledge covering SiP, IP Trunking+ and IP CTX, Q.931, DPNSS, CAS, C7
  • Strong telecoms experience backed-up with accredited formal manufacturers training courses on relevant platforms would be ideal
  • Knowledge of Vodafone systems ie SAS/COMS - CPS Clarify or Remedy. RNM, NCO & SDA
  • Clear and concise communication skills both verbal and written to support role
  • Ideally trained/certified in IP technologies
  • Demonstrate practical experience knowledge gained through working in a similar role.

Rate: -

£200 - £260 per day (depending upon level of skill and experience)
