Description

We are seeking an experienced RAN Site Design Engineer with CAD and AutoCAD Design & Build knowledge of 2G 3G 4G mobile telecommunication.

The ideal RAN Site Design Engineer will have a good understanding of telecommunication base station 2G 3G 4G and associated equipment. The RAN Site Design Engineer will be responsible but not limited to mobile network site review, site solution design using AutoCAD GA & DD drawing review and be able to act as a SME on passive and active design and elements to meet customer requirements.

Key to the role is the ability to identify effective solutions that best fits the customer requirements in the most cost effective way and to ensure all SLA are met by Sub contractors.

Responsibilities

Assist Design Team with all site design and all associated tasks to ensure delivery of design within agreed customer SLAs.

Creation and verification of Design Proposals for mobile network sites based on customer requirements across Passive/Civil and Active elements.

Reviewing of plans, design drawings and other relevant documents for accuracy and adherence to build requirements to include review of Site Survey documentation.

Responsible for selection of H/W & material BOMs to support site build

Attend regular technical Gating meetings/solution design review meetings with the customer to define and agree the Site Designs and delivery scenarios.

Ensure that site designs are compliant with local Health and Safety requirements

Act as a Site Design SME in the provision of technical support towards the customer, internal project staff and 3rd party suppliers

Interface with the different project work streams to ensure efficient handover between milestones

Production of technical reporting

Deliver results and achieve SLA/KPI performance by focusing on effective and efficient execution of Site Design services.

Continually look for opportunities for efficiency & cost saving by driving a culture of cost-awareness & innovation

Requirements

Technical Competencies

Experience working in Engineering teams on Turn Key RAN rollouts covering the Work Areas of Civil/Passive Design & Construction and Site Engineering to support Equipment Installation.

Knowledge of product and procedures within the Work Areas

Site Engineering experience including Base Station Designing, Site Survey, material specification & Site documentation production

Knowledge and experience of relevant OHS & CDM statutory regulations impacting the local market.

IT Skills eg MS Office & AutoCAD

Minimum 4 years Site design experience in telecoms

Trained and Certified for Working at Height (Rooftop) to include Medical Clearance, RF Awareness and First Aid.
