Communications and Marketing Lead - Security Cleared
Location: Cambridge with some travel into Central London
Summary of the work:
Comms/Marketing Services during JSaRC (Joint Security and Resilience Centre) set-up in order to inform government, industry and academia of the broad opportunities that JSaRC offers and source opportunities for JSaRC to take the lead in delivering relevant security projects. Promote and generate interest in JSaRC events, which will include Conferences, exhibitions, events and technology demonstrations.

What you will work on:
1. Communications and marketing strategy for 2018.
2. Continued implementation of the comms and marketing strategy and tactical plans.
3. High quality communications and marketing material for JSaRC at specific events.
4. Development, establishment and maintenance of JSaRC's web presence and online communities 5. Replacement of JSaRC CRM database.
6. Content Development and delivery.
7. JSaRC brand management.
8. Government, industry and academic collaboration.
9. Promote and generate interest in JSaRC events, which will include JSaRC led events and JSaRC technology demonstrations
Location:
The team will be based in new site in Cambridge, with travel required to London and other parts of the UK.
There are five expos that we contribute to a year plus other events we support which are held nationally so the role will be work dependent. However, the role for now is London based with the team, until the Cambridge site is finalised. The team base will then move to Cambridge permanently. The post holder will still travel to London but the split is likely to be 3 days in Cambridge and 1 day in London at the most.
The team will be based in Cambridge. The expectation is that regular face to face contact is maintained for the majority of the week, with flexibility for the remainder of the time. Regular UK travel for Events and meetings is expected. Expenses will be paid under the Home Office Expenses Policy.
Minimum SC Security clearance, as individual will be accessing material up to Secret. Applicants may start prior to clearance being verified. The successful candidate will be expected to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Essential skills and experience:
- Knowledge and experience of government, industry and academic collaboration
- Experience of website project management and design principles
- Experience of setting up and using stakeholder databases to manage and track engagement
- Experience of successfully developing and implementing comms and marketing strategies
- Successful deployment of a wide array of communication tools and techniques including brochures and leaflets and web content
- Experienced in using a variety of channels to publicise organisations including events, social media, websites, media
- Experience of working with and understanding the UK Security Industry
