Senior DevOps Consultant - VMware, VxRail, Puppet, Ansiable, Terraform, CI/CD, Agile. WebLogic is required my client who is based in Rickmansworth near Watford.
My client is looking to fill two Senior DevOps Consultant roles for 12 months, to help them improve delivery of their environments, streamline code delivery and orchestrate virtualised environments on existing hardware. They are using OVM(Oracle Virtualisation Manager) as they currently are provisioning DEV/TEST environments on an Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, for their Oracle stack - WebLogic and DB. For non-oracle products they are building a VMWare environment on a converged systems called VxRail from Dell, which is a converged infrastructure appliance.
So, skills required are:
- Virtualisation technologies - either or - Oracle PCA, VMWare, VxRail
- Automation tooling - Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Packer
- Middleware - not too important, but an understanding of JAVA containers, WeBlogic would be ideal, but JBOSS is good.
- CD/CI understanding - Agile delivery of infra and code.
My client needs a seasoned consultant who can lead and be lead. You need to be able to take ownership of tasks, find a solution and guide, and/or take instructions and follow requirements. You need to be a good communicator as you will be reporting to tech leads.
