System Administrator - Linux & Solaris
Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands & Hamburg, Germany

Job description:
- Candidate should have proficiency in supporting various Sun hardware like (E15k, E1290, E, E4800 V890, V880, V490, V480, E420r,) running Solaris operating system..
- Strong working expertise in Volume management, Disk Management, software RAID solutions using VERITAS Volume manager. File system Tuning and growing using VERITAS File System (VxFS), Ceritas Cluster experience
- Good working experience in Installing, upgrading and configuring Sun Solaris 8, 9 and 10 on Sun Servers Using Jumpstart Servers and Interactive Installation
- MUST: Should have strong experience in supporting Solaris 10 environment
- Configuring and administering Solaris Zones and Containers on Sun Solaris 10 operating system
- Solaris 8,9,10 (at least 7+ years)
- Linux - any (3 to 5 years)
- Solaris dynamic domains, LDOM, Zones and Containers (Design/Build/Support)
- SAN/Direct attached Storage Array (Must have supported)
- Should have ability to write and understand Scripting languages (UNIX Shell Scripts, Perl, Python)Solaris with Jumpstart (installed, supported and configured)
- Proficient in patching
- Candidate should know VERITAS Volume Manager and Sun Volume Manager
- NIS (designed and implemented)
- Strong understanding of technology and expertise Knowledge of High Availability Solutions (VERITAS Cluster and Sun Cluster both)
- Resolving system errors and crashes, huge file sizes, file system full errors and Installing network Printers and rectifying the Printer problems over the net work
- Configured Networking Concepts DNS, NIS, NFS and DHCP, troubleshooting network problems such as TCP/IP, providing support for users in solving their problemsIn-depth knowledge of the following:
- AIX and VIO/virtualisation
- Red Hat Linux
- PowerHA clustering and TSA clustering
- Tru64 and VMware ESX - not essential
- DNS skills
- Incident and Problem Investigation
