Evolved Packet Core Solution Engineer
Job description:
The Evolved Packet Core and GI-LAN Solution Engineer plays a key role to maintain the Evolved Packet Core architecture delivered by CISCO, the GI-LAN composed of TCP optimization and Carrier Grade NAT. It requires the definition and implementation of the evolution of the mobile data "core" network to support the traffic growth and renewal of end of live platforms.
He/She Will have to design, Integrate, test and deploy the capacity growth and renewal of the Mobile Data Core (MDC) network (based on CISCO EPC technologies).
Will have to manage the introduction of new technologies and services on the current MDC infrastructure (eg Voice Over LTE, VoWifi, IPv6, M2M, IOT ).
Will have to manage the evolution of the Gi-LAN with TCP optimization delivered by the F5 BIG-IP Platform and with the CGNAT delivered from Juniper MX-960 platform by Translating business requirements into technical design and recommendation to fit the best to solution & network architecture
Ensuring accurate and cost effective network design continuously focusing on further improving network performance, quality and customer experience of data services
Aligning with internal stakeholders on implementation of new products or features and translating needs into qualitative solutions with low time to market in close cooperation with external vendors
He/she will also have to Supports operational department in case of incidents and design solutions which strengthen the stability of the services for the customers with the required work pack/method of procedures
Required skills:
S/He has practical project experiences in:
Evolved Packet Core infrastructure engineering, development and deployment of new services preferably on ASR5000 and ASR5500 CISCO platforms.
TCP traffic optimization, possibly on F5 BIG-IP platform
Carrier Grade NAT service, possible on Juniper MX-960 platform
Significant expertise in a wide-range of ICT technologies and knowledge of mobile data protocols (Radius, DNS, Diameter, LDAP, GPRS, UMTS, GRE, L2TP, ) and devices (GGSN, SGSN, MME, PCRF, S-PGW,TCP Optimizer, CGNat )
S/He has some experience with LAN/WAN Routing & Switching skills (including routing protocols as BGP, BFD & OSPF).
S/He has experience in design, implementation and validation of new services and technologies, as well as capacity & quality follow-up
S/He is a good team player with excellent communication & presentation skills. Project management skills is an asset.
Other skills:
Master in IT or in telecommunication or equivalent by experience
Fluent in English (spoken and written). Dutch and/or French is an asset
