To support our growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Oracle Database Administrator, on a contract basis (initially 3 - 4 months), for a role in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will lead the installation of an Oracle based ERP solution on Linux and will be responsible for the set up and configuration of the development environment, facilitation of UAT and the subsequent setup and configuration of the production environment and manage the data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL). Candidates must have the confidence to deal with clients, users and management - both in written and verbal communication and have extensive previous experience in a similar role.
In addition, candidates should possess the following skills and experience;
- Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA up to and including 11g and R12
- Setup, configuration and maintenance with hands on UAT experience
- Monitoring performance tuning and high availability configuration
- Previous Installation of Oracle ERP
- Managing internal and external database security
- Data extraction, manipulation and management
- Production DBA
- Data Extraction
- ETL
- SQL server
- Linux
- Oracle certified DBA (desirable)
