Mechanical Production Engineer

My Private Sector client require an engineer to provide mechanical engineering support the production of satellite Communications Modules and Scientific Payloads, based on robust processes, activity control sheets (ACSs) and procedures. Leading the closure of ACSs and procedures. Organising the assembly area by the means of floor plans and interfacing with the area controller on the project's needs.
Required Experience
Good understanding and detailed experience of all types of mechanical systems. Including but not limited to:
*Lean manufacturing techniques including 5S, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
*Support to production
*Prepare and carry out environmental tests (Vibration, Acoustic, Mass properties, Thermal) at unit, subsystem, instrument and spacecraft level.
*Support propulsion testing.
*Handling and installation of thermal hardware.
*Mechanical integration and testing of electronic units, subsystems and instruments, mechanisms, antennas, solar arrays, mechanical sub-systems, instruments, payloads and spacecraft and control the documentation associated with performing these tasks.

*Clean room experience
*Aerospace experience
*Mechanical design/validation/experience
*FMEA Experience
*Knowledge of continuous improvement philosophies
*Knowledge of Health and Safety principles and their application to the specific environment
*Rudimentary understanding of RF properties and associated risks.
