Roc Search's Client is currently recruiting for a Strategic Sourcing Consultant to be based in Dublin.
Type: Contract, 6months +
Salary: negotiable daily rate
Location: Dublin.
- Work with internal clients to set up and manage quotations for DAS and Small Cell installation projects.
- Travel to and review sport venue (NFL, MBA, etc.) installation requirements with clients.
- Drive all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process, including but not limited to, taking lead on contract negotiations of business and pricing terms and conditions, conducting research and providing benchmark data on pricing and/or other key terms
- Support supplier reviews through collating information on price performance and operational field performance (score card structure).
- Report progress on projects and cost reduction on a monthly basis.
- Review supplier purchases and ensure that supplier spend reports are accurate.
- Develop and maintain supplier contracts. Ensure that standard terms and pricing is up to date.
- Support supplier rationalisation projects by building up supplier profiles through RFI and score card processes.
- Present project summary updates to management as required.
- Develop good relationships with internal stakeholders (engineering, project managers).
- Stays current with industry trends for assigned category area, and becomes a Trusted Advisor to our Business Partners
- Present new products, technologies and services from existing or new suppliers to clients
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Credentials from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM) or Irish Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management (IIPMM).
- Experience in sourcing, ideally in the technology areas such as Network Equipment and Infrastructure.
- Previous sourcing experience.
- Ability to solve complex problems to ensure business and financial issues result in sound decisions
- Project Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment
- Prior experience as a telecommunications installer and/or engineer
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) - MS Access a plus
