Description

T4S Solutions have an Urgent requirement for a Prestigious Client in Brussels for a Network and Security Consultant on a long term contract assignment on a rate of 525 EURO per day.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

The following tasks will be requested:

  • Data Centre Network administration and debugging tasks;
  • Ensure that end-to-end network connection (LAN/WAN) is available, fast, reliable and secure, at all times, in HQs (all buildings), in all Delegations and between them;
  • Performing daily, weekly and monthly operational tasks;
    • Configuring and installing various network devices and services (eg, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, load balancers, VPN);
    • Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations;A big part of the operational tasks consist in analysing and implementing network flows;
    • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability of the network infrastructure by use of the available tools.
  • Informing/alerting the responsible service component owner in case of any abnormalities. Taking corrective action as needed;
  • Provide level 2-3 support and troubleshooting;
  • Contribute to Problem Management investigation; Liaise with vendors for problem resolution.
  • Participate in the on-call standby service;
  • Debugging and analysing of reported problems and escalated incidents;
  • Drafting operational guidelines, procedures, installation notices and scripts for the integration, installation and upgrade of aforementioned component services;
  • Assistance with roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects in HQ and/or remote Delegations;
  • Operate in accordance with the defined ITIL processes and procedures;

Knowledge and skills

  • Very good knowledge of network administration including operation and management of routing, switching, Firewalling, VPN and load balancer devices and services;
  • Understand basic concepts of network segregation and zoning;
  • Minimum 1 network-related technical certification: Cisco CCDP/CCNP, CCNA, CCDE/CCIE, CCAr or relevant certifications issued by F5, Juniper, Palo Alto or others;
  • Practical experience using monitoring tools: Cacti, Solarwinds, Anomaly Detective, Splunk or similar;
  • ITILv3 certification(s);
  • Ability to write technical notes in English;
  • Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Quick learning ability is required, being organized, versatile and a results-oriented team player;
  • Experience in providing support for an enterprise environment;
  • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies and environments.

Assets

  • Operation and management of Cisco network devices and services, F5 Accelerators, Juniper & Palo Alto Firewalls and HP user Switches
  • Operation and management of FireEye Email Security service;
  • Expertise in Network Security;
  • SANS certification related to Network Security;
  • Practical experience with Palo Alto Panorama Firewall management tool and Skybox Cybersecurity Management Platform.
