Windows 10 Engineering Consultant
Our international client is looking for a Windows Client Engineering Consultant to help them with a Windows 10 migration project. Qualified candidates will have the following experience:
The Windows consultant will have to work with the Workplace Services team based in Paris. Workplace Services team is in charge to manage the Windows images on physical and virtual machines.
The consultant must have a strong knowledge on the Microsoft tools: Active Directory, MS Office and more particularly on the migration from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Any experience on VMware Horizon view would be a plus.
He/she should be in the position to provide expertise related to the setup and the deployment of Windows 10 in all our office locations.
The consultant will have to
- Assess the existing configuration in order to define the settings of the future Windows 10 images for devices.
- Provide a solution that suits our organization to setup Windows10 on the machines.
- Provide a solution that suits our organization to deploy the new image: the plan is to restage the Windows 7 machines with Windows 10, in the first step and not to buy in a short period of time new machines.
- Participate to the core-load build. The main goals will be to have a core-load
- Easy to be adapted/updated by the Workplace Services team.
- Handy for the Local IT teams that are in charge to manage the users' machines.
- Participate to the technical validation of the new image.
- Participate to the validation of the deployment mechanism.
- Deliver ( In the form of MS Office documents )
- Windows 10 details configuration adapted to the organization
- Recommendation on Windows 10 deployment mechanism for the organization
Position: 4 - 6 month Contract
