Job description:As a Cisco Certified Network Administrator you will be primarily responsible for looking after the firms Network infrastructure and particularly the Cisco technology estate. You will act as a technical expert for all things Networking and be familiar with supporting, upgrading, deploying and managing a range of networking technology stacks.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the existing network estate and in accepting the delivery of new designs and infrastructure components into live support. They are also expected to contribute in the wider network to ongoing risk reduction and resolution. It is therefore important that the individual has the ability to demonstrate ‘thought leadership’ in their area, take ownership, make decisions and have good attention to detail.
Joining an enthusiastic and experienced team, we are looking for someone who has experience of working within a Network Infrastructure position previously and who are comfortable working on Cisco configurations, being involved in designing Wi-Fi deployments for customers and wiring and implementing testing procedures.
The job requirements:
• At least 3 years of IT Networking experience supporting large scale, multi-site data center Networking including cloud technologies
• Certifications/ qualifications in Cisco IOS (CCNA, CCNP)
• A good background of working with a variety of technology, such as:
o McAfee Web Gateway
o Bluecoat WAN Optimization
o IBM IDS
o Aruba/HP Wireless/Wired technologies
o Cisco Load balancing
o Linux
o Windows Server
o Microsoft Cloud
• Experience with Cisco technologies (LAN/WAN) and
• Experience with routing protocols (OSFP, EIGRP, VRF’s, etc.)
• ITIL experience
• Experience working with 3rd party tech suppliers
• Experience of working with spanning tree, VoIP, QoS, etc.
• Experience with firewall technologies (Checkpoint/Fortinet/ASA)
• Knowledge of Cloud based infrastructure would be preferred
