Speaking Dutch or French System Engineer

Proteus Europe is searching for a speaking Dutch or French System Engineer available to work in a long term contract for one of our clients in Belgium

Your New role :-

As a System Engineer, you are part of the ICT Infrastructure Team, where you will be enabled for implementation (engineering) and operational management of the Windows and Linux environment with focus on the Linux stack.

Responsibilities:

- Installation, consolidation, upgrading and management of the server park and storage infrastructure
- Building and maintaining the landscape documentation
- Define the necessary operational procedures
- Documenting interdependence of the various components (hardware and applications)
- Monitoring performance and implementation of improvements (both software and hardware moderate)
- Performing daily operational tasks (backup, monitoring, security activities)
- Providing 2nd and 3rd line support at system level
- Participate in an on-call waiting schedule (1x every 5wk).

Your Skills and experience :-

Essential Skills :-

- You have at least one degree (preferably in computer science).

- Linux-based environment (RHEL and OEL)
- Basic Networking (TCP / IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, ...)
- Satelitte v6.x management platform

- HyperV technology (2012+) and its associated management suite
- Windows based environments (Windows 2012, 2012R2 and 2016)
- AD, Microsoft DNS, knowledge of cross-domain environments
- Knowledge of ITIL

- You have insight and interest in the trends in the IS area
- For initiative and good communication skills
- You can easily integrate into a team.
- You can easily express in Dutch, English and French

Technical Requirements:

- Proven experience in managing RHEL Satellite 6.x
- Proven experience in managing RHEL 6.x and 7.x releases
- Proven experience with MySQL and / or MariaDB from version 5.x
- Proven experience in managing Role Based Access by means of integration with an external directory (MSFT-AD).
- Advanced knowledge of BASH, Phyton scripting and SE Linux

Certification:

- RHCSA and RHCSE
