Job Description:

My client a leading telecommunications company based in Brussels are looking for an experienced Evolved Packet Core Solution Engineer to play a key role in maintaining the Evolved Packet Core architecture delivered by CISCO on ASR5000 (SGSN/MME) and ASR5500 (GGSN/SPGW) technologies. It requires the definition and implementation of the capacity evolution of the mobile data core network to support the traffic growth and renewal of end of live platforms.

Duties

- You will review the engineering rules of dimensioning in order to monitor the consumption of the main platform resources (CPU, Memory, Network Interfaces.)

- Design, plan and deploy the capacity growth and renewal of the Mobile Data Core (MDC) network

Manage the end of live cycle of platforms and equipment's, plan and design the necessary renewal.

- Design and implement the necessary changes on the current MDC infrastructure to support new service initiatives requested.

- Support the migration of the current Mobile Internet core from the current architecture to the new NFV/SDN packet core network (also called vEPC).

Occasionally you will be required to support the Mobile Data Core operational team in case of incidents (troubleshooting) and design solutions.

Required skills:

- Evolved Packet Core infrastructure engineering, development and deployment of new services preferably on CISCO ASR5000 (SGSN/MME) and ASR5500 (GGSN/SPGW) CISCO platforms, CISCO Catalyst Switches.

- Capacity management of EPC platform (dimensioning rules, capacity monitoring, capacity extension)

- Knowledge on Radius, DNS, diameter, PCRF, TCP optimizer, Carrier Grade Nating, Firewall is an added value.
