Component Engineer/Gaydon/3 months Contract/19 to 20 GBP (Per Hour)
As a Component Engineer for wireless Headphones and Microphones, the candidate would be responsible for the development and delivery of new components for all future products.
Responsibility will be primarily HW and project delivery focused, with responsibility for overseeing supplier delivery.
The role will involve working alongside Amplifer and Speakers Team Leads and SW Engineers to manage the Tier 1 supplier through the design and development process. The successful candidate will lead the management of HW related processes such as GRADE (HW design checklist) and DTs (harness connection information), as well as managing integration into the vehicle via packaging and other supporting functions and managing all issues through AIMS, eTrackers and CQs. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that specifications are translated into test requirements and that the supplier adheres to these, as well as authoring updated or new specifications. The candidate will be responsible for running a weekly reviews with the supplier and escalating any issues to the Amplifier Team Leader or the Reporting To Manager if they cannot be resolved at their level.
In addition to seeing the first application into production, the candidate will also be responsible for managing the HW into other vehicle lines, working with programme teams and vehicle packaging to ensure robust reapplication.
