Description
Scientific Associate wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- MSc or BSc degree in Molecular Biology or equivalent professional experience
- Strong background in laboratory techniques, such as molecular cloning, PCR and gene expression methodologies
- Competency of Excel as well as LIMS
- Confidence with NGS protocols, Illumina or PacBio technologies
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Using NGS technologies for supporting research projects in disease areas
- Coordinating several projects simultaneously along with precise documenting of work in an electronic lab book
- Creating standard sequencing libraries with commercial reagents
- Performing robotic sample preparation and sequencing instruments as well as participating in the development of new NGS applications
- Working with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
