Role - CS core engineer
Start - ASAP

Location - The Netherlands

Job DescriptionPurpose of role:
Ensures CS services introduction, availability and continuous improvement/quality of services by providing operations and maintenance support for the services and the platforms/applications/solutions particular to the CS service.

Job responsibilities:
Implement changes by administrate, analyse, plan, check, feedback (propose alternatives), test (rollback checks) and execute changes in line with change management process
Support GNOC in Resolve problems in root cause analysis and implement changes for CS CORE elements
Maintain contact with all national and international roaming partners.
Responsible for operational acceptance new systems/applications in his/her domain
Responsible for the continuous performance of applications/systems by supporting performance management process with Transport & IP domain/element specific investigations
Responsible for operational acceptance new systems/applications
Knowledge share within GNOC (WIKI updates, documenting workarounds, working procedures)
When needed creates operational procedures for incident and problem management for in GNOC departments
Define acceptance criteria and perform acceptance of new network elements and services integrated in live environment within projects
Improve the KPI to achieve KPI SLA ( internal/external)
Monitor network and system performance.
Pro-actively provide input for capacity and performance planning processes
Proactively detects performance trends, identify reasons and propose corrective solutions
Proactively takes actions meant to contribute the network perception improvement
Provide on request the expertise and adequate support on customer driven RFI&RFQ processes & operational Trouble Tickets

Leads E2E network service improvement task forces and projects
Participate with expertise in various CS CORE oriented trials and projects.
Supports manager in organising, planning and improving team
Should the severe CS Core Incidents, (triggering the Customer ER process)
Cooperate with Customer on a Design/Tests/implementation DRP plans
Available out of office hours on best effort base

Experience in mobile and fixed operational support organisation within the domains of CS Core and Number porting
Experienced in ITIL processes

Be able to judge on operational acceptance complex new systems/applications
Good understanding of mobile and ISP network architecture (GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE,IP, Internet)
Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent level gained by experience, in Information Technology/Electronics/Telecommunications/Data communications Engineering
Experience with ICT operations and maintenance support
Be able to judge on operational acceptance complex new systems/applications
ITIL
English language skills (good verbal and written)
Mobile Voice Core (Mitel VoLTE/IMS, MSS, MGW, HLR&NT-HLR of Nokia and STP of Oracle, SBCs Oracle and Mitel)
In dept knowledge of protocols: SS7, SIGTRAN, Camel, ISUP, MAP, H.248, Megaco., VoIP
CCNA or equivalent.
Network and performance monitoring.
