Your tasks:
- Ensure the continuity of Db2 database, connectivity and data propagation environments by further developing the product strategy
- Identify and implement improvements within Db2 environment and provide recommendations to optimise resource performance
- Plan and implement product builds for Db2, data propagation and connectivity products to create a standardised environment which complies with the requirements of the organisation and its infrastructure
- Evaluate and assess new requirements of users and operations
- Suggest requirements for the overall Db2 product strategy
- Carry out R&D (research and development) on Db2 product range
- Provide professional consultancy services for projects and development teams as appropriate (advice, documentation, workshops, classes, etc.)
- Provide 3rd level technical support to the developer teams in resolving issues and maintaining quality in terms of service provision
- Interact with all relevant third parties in a team oriented way to ensure compliance with superordinate strategies and schedules and to the best of the profitable development of the organisation
- Ensure compliance to MESD and MEDC target lines and projects
Your qualifications
- Highly experienced with standardized database server infrastructure on large scale on both, traditional and cloud platforms
- Experience with databases and software development environments on supported platforms (Linux, Windows)
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in software development methods, processes, tools and programming languages on supported platforms
- Good technical understanding of relevant technologies on supported platforms
- In-depth knowledge of processes and tools for systems engineering and operations
- Strong skills in conceptual work, quality orientation, problem solving & analysis and planning & organisation
- Highly customer and service focused
- Experience in people management to include management of small teams
- Graduate level or equivalent professional expertise
- Knowledge of strategic delivery processes
- Ability to demonstrate out of box thinking
- Self driven and highly result oriented
- Fluency in English and German
