Support Key Responsibilities:
- Support of clients infrastructure and resolution of escalated 3rd-line & deep technical support issues
- Take ownership of technical issues, working with team to resolve more advanced issues when necessary
- Troubleshooting and providing solutions for the front line support engineers
- Resolving escalated customer complaints without the need for team lead intervention
- Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
- Provide training to clients as required
Project Key Responsibilities:
- Managing projects from conception through to completion
- Managing project budgets
- Overseeing the maintenance of projects after completion
- Responsible for the completion of all documentation associated with projects
- Carrying out effective client liaison for all projects undertaken
- Liaising with customers on a regular basis to ensure the successful project deployment according to agreed budgets and time frame
Role Allocation:
- Planning & implementing existing client project work (about 60% of time), working onsite as required for installations & migrations
- Assist team use of project management tools in creating project tasks, timelines and tracking project progress (smartsheets)
Role Deliverables:
- Provision of best-practice project management & workflow tools to improve internal project management operations and procurement process
- Help plan, develop and present client budget proposals
- Help clients produce short-term and long-term goals with specific technology solutions to help meet those goals
- Investigate emerging tech solutions for existing & future clients
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Microsoft certification is a requirement (MCSE)
- Conceptual understanding of networking, firewall configurations, NAT / routing
- Project deployment experience with Windows servers and Windows stack components eg. Active Directory, file services etc.
- Extensive experience of planning, project management, design & client liaison
- Experience of interpreting specifications and preparing technical proposals
- Ability to multitask in a demanding engineering environment
- A strong track record in delivering projects on time and within budget
- Resolving complex technical issues and coming up with fast efficient solutions
- Ability to assess the financial feasibility, impact of proposed budget items and alternatives
- Experience creating strategic IT roadmaps that focus on the improvement of client infrastructure over time
