ConSol Partners' client is a global system integrator looking for a WAS System Engineer to participate in a migration of WAS from version 7.x to 8.x to work on a 3 month extendable contract in Luxembourg Please see below for more information:

Main responsibilities:
- Knowledge of XLDEploy is an asset
- The Middleware is the layer that lies between the applications and the basic IT system (OS, databases). Applications use Middleware for underlying communication, centralized services, application integration, and more.
- The Middleware is characterized by a great diversity. Our platforms work on both Windows and UNIX (AIX & Linux).
- In order to strengthen our Middleware team, we are looking for a system engineer, who will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Support, monitoring and maintenance of a partial domain of the IT infrastructure to ensure the highest level of quality and availability (24 hours a day, 7 days a week and in compliance with SLA).
- Technical management and development of a part of the IT infrastructure in an autonomous way, in order to offer users a stable environment, to deliver them the services (ITIL process,) and to allow the customers to develop applications perform ants
- Installation of new infrastructure or new services so that our client always has the most appropriate techniques and capabilities to meet the needs of users, to implement new projects or improve existing systems.
- Provide support in the event of incidents and prevent problems in a sustainable manner to maintain system availability at a higher level possible.
- Inform, form and frame the users of infrastructure to of watch at this that the systems are used optimally and efficient.
- Collaborate in or lead infrastructure projects in her/his field, in order to improve systems, implement new systems and remove them others.
What do we expect from you:
- Able to be precise, disciplined, customer oriented, meaning initiative and contacts, good resistance to stress
- Willing to work in a system that includes guards.
- Knowledge of Operating System following AIX & Linux.
- Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, Linoma Gateway MFT, SSL protocols and SSH.
- Basic knowledge of the following programming languages Shell Scripting, python
- Willing to work outside of business hours during scheduled interventions or to resolve incidents
