IT Support Engineer (part time)Derbyshire
3 - 6 Month Contract
GBP 15 - GBP 17 ph
IT Support Engineer needed on a "part time" basis to support a global Manufacturing business based near Derby.
3 to 6 month contract with longer-term potential to go permanent for the right person. Start ASAP in late December/early January (depending on your availability/notice period).
The customer require IT support on a part time basis for 20-22 hours per week. There is some flexibility in terms of how these hours could be delivered (for example: 9am-1pm, Mon-Fri/9am-5pm, Mon-Wed).
Key Skills/Experience/Duties?
. Providing day-to-day IT operational support for IT systems across several local sites based near Derby.
. Supporting desktop PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, Servers, networks (LAN/WAN) and telephony/phone systems.
. Installation, configuration, diagnosis and fault resolution for IT systems (including applications, hardware, software, mobile devices).
. Windows/Active Directory (AD) User Management and basic Network Administration.
. Liaising with 3rd party IT suppliers to trouble-shoot/fix issues (including Telecoms providers).
. IT Asset Management, including keeping software licenses and IT asset libraries updated.
. Project Coordination, including installs/upgrades of IT equipment.
. Ability to prioritise own work-load and remain calm under pressure.
. Experience of working within large, multi-national manufacturing environments would be a bonus.
. ITIL qualification/Microsoft Certification would be an advantage (MCSA/MCSE).
