Responsibilities:
- Position will report into the Lead Cloud infrastructure Architect working closely with Enterprise Architecture, project teams and business partners
- Be hands on with the Cloud Engineering experience of Docker Containers translating designs into infrastructure builds.
- Further mature cloud target architecture
- Execute build-out of core infrastructure services (Minimum Viable Cloud) and foundational IaaS/PaaS capabilities
- Develop integration into existing operating system
- Conduct detailed application cloud readiness assessment for existing enterprise applications
- Participate in POC sessions to validate cloud fit of core insurance applications
- Performance testing of existing core insurance applications in the cloud
- Create infrastructure designs for enterprise cloud services
- Develop actionable cloud implementation roadmaps and generation maturity plans
- Conduct application migration execution including detailed migration planning, cutover and post-migration clean-up
- Provide domain leadership in infrastructure and cloud architecture with a focus in Amazon Web Services and large-scale public/private and hybrid multi-cloud architectures
Qualifications:
- Seven (7) plus years of cloud architecture experience preferred
- Previous leadership experience with technical architecture
- Telecommunications experience is desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Demonstration of currency via Industry certifications such as VMware VCP, AWS Solution Architect, Microsoft MCSE: Cloud, ITIL, or related certifications highly desired
