I am currently recruiting for a QA Engineer with my client based in Bath, fantastic permanent opportunity.
QA/TEST PLANS/SQL/SCRIPTING/AUTOMATION SCRIPT/TESTING TOOLS/QA METHODOLOGIES
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and perform manual tests on admin and consumer facing products.
You will play an important role in ensuring our software runs smoothly and meets client needs.
You will review system requirements and monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions.
You will work in an Agile environment and be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, defining corrective instruction and tracking quality assurance metrics (i.e. defect densities and open defect counts).
Experience:
- Prior experience of software development of admin and consumer facing products along with some or all of the following
- Experience in software quality assurance and superior knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Ability to write clear, detailed test plans and test cases
- Experience with both white box and black box testing
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Nice to have:
- Interest or experience in the design, and development of automation scripts and testing tools
- Good knowledge of SQL and scripting
You will get involved in:
- Planning and developing testing processes for new and existing products and applying test plans and test cases
- Identifying, recording and tracking bugs
- Reviewing requirements and technical specifications
- Tracking quality assurance metrics
