Description
A Global organisation based in West London has an urgent requirement for a Global Network Engineer within LAN/WAN and the Voice arena. It is imperative that contractors applying have worked at a global level in complex and highly secure environments supporting the LAN/WAN Voice infrastructure. You will be the point of contact for all on-going administration of the client's global LAN/WAN Voice Infrastructure.
You will have the ability to be involved in the design, implementation, and support of multiple network solutions at a global level and will have excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibility:
- To provide support to other global infrastructure teams where required (eg Storage & Virtualisation, Active Directory & Exchange)
- Contribute to the design and creation of support models for infrastructure services
- Work as part of a team to deliver standardized scalable infrastructure systems across all sites
- Work with existing support teams to ensure Incident Management and Change Control procedures are followed and communicated effectively
- Review global and local change requests and assess potential impact in accordance with Change Control policies for the LAN/WAN estate.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and provide weekly updates to the Infrastructure Team lead.
- Develop and maintain LAN/WAN/Voice infrastructure operational documentation
- Develop architecture designs in accordance with IT's Enterprise Architectural principles
- Responsibility for technical set-up of the network, liaising with development teams to determine effort, feasibility, scheduling, etc
Technical skills & Certifications:
- Checkpoint & Palo Alto Firewalls
- F5 Load Balancing
- L2, L3 and L4 Switching technology
- Layer 2 & Layer 3networking technology experience
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP Including IP address management, DNS & DHCP schemes
- Expert in Cisco routing & Switching
- CCNP/CCNA/Juniper/Palo Alto
