Role: Safety Manager
Rate: £ per day
Location: Taunton
Contract: 7 Month Contract (March - Oct)
Clearance: Existing UK security clearance to a minimum, BPSS, preferably SC, or the ability to obtain it
Role
- Embed the SMS.
- Develop Safety Cases and Functional Safety Cases Products and Services.
- Develop and implement a plan to migrate safety activity to permanent staff.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience of at least two years in safety engineering, product safety and activities contributing to the production of Safety Cases, Goal Structuring Notation (GSN) and safety-related reports.
- Conducting Hazard ID Workshops.
- Hazard Identification (HAZID) and hazard log Production and management.
- Developing and recoding safety requirements.
- Perform and support safety analyses.
- Support the use of GSN to develop safety arguments.
- Preparation of Safety Cases and Functional Safety Cases using modern standards and approaches demonstrating best practice.
- Familiarity with IMO and SOLAS V Regulations
- The development of policies and processes for the creation of safety cases and for maintaining them as designs change.
- The development of policies and processes for periodic safety review against modern standards.
Qualifications
- University educated with a Masters, PGD, PGC in Safety Critical Systems or a similar qualification
Travel
- Willingness to work at client offices
- Full UK driving licence
